Welcome to Wellie Boots ONLINE

How to measure your foot properly

Oddly enough measuring your foot for your perfect wellie boot may sound straightforward but actually there's more to it than meets the eye!

  • UK or European sizing - some wellie boot manufacturers, such as Le Chameau and Aigle (both French),  choose to use the European sizing chart whereas others such as Musto (English) choose the UK sizing chart, both for obvious reasons.
  • Calf sizes - the Vierzonord is one such boot where you can select your calf size as well as your foot size to customise your boot further and make sure it is the perfect fit.

The internal foot measurement

Either place a tape measure on the floor and, with the back of your foot on zero, read the length of the measure to the end of your foot OR use a piece of paper and trace round the edges - with either of these methods, make sure that you give yourself a little more on the length since you will be no doubt wearing socks (thick?) with your wellies.

Your calf measurement

You will need to get your tape measure and measure the circumference round the top of the calf, particularly useful when having to select your calf size during the purchase of your boot.
